The Campaign
Wood for Gold is the wood industry campaign to promote the use of timber construction in the 2012 London Olympic and 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth games.
The campaign comprises the major timber trade and wood working associations and represents the first truly joint industry attempt to provide advice and guidance to contractors working on a major infrastructure and construction project.
Wood for Gold is pushing for a greater recognition of the environmental and design benefits of timber construction in order to positively influence wider building policy up until 2014 and beyond.
